The First Light
Long before humanity reached the stars…
Echelon already existed.
A civilization so advanced it appeared divine.
Massive floating continents drifted through endless skies while celestial rings powered entire worlds. Disease had been erased. War had become myth. Knowledge flowed freely between species.
At the center of this paradise stood the Ethereal Citadel.
And inside it…
Two young Paladins trained together.
One was calm.
The other questioned everything.
The first would one day become the Paladin Leader.
The second…
Had no title yet.
Only curiosity.
Only vision.
Only doubt.
And that frightened people.
The young Paladins stood atop a massive floating platform overlooking the glowing city beneath them.
Ships of light moved through the skies below. Children laughed in distant gardens. Peace existed everywhere.
The future looked eternal.
The second Paladin remained quiet. Watching the stars instead.
The Leader smiled softly.
But the mysterious Paladin did not smile.
Because beyond the peaceful stars…
He saw movement.
Something ancient.
Watching.
The Architect

Years passed.
Echelon expanded across entire systems.
The mysterious Paladin became one of the greatest minds in their civilization's history.
He designed:
- Dimensional portals
- Living energy systems
- Planetary defense grids
- The floating city structures themselves
Entire worlds praised his brilliance.
But while others celebrated peace…
He studied collapse.
War.
Extinction.
Patterns hidden within the universe.
And slowly…
He became obsessed with one terrifying discovery:
Every advanced civilization eventually disappeared.
Not from internal failure.
From something hunting them.
He brought his findings before the council.
Massive star maps illuminated the chamber.
Dead systems.
Vanished civilizations.
Entire galaxies silent.
The council remained calm. Unmoved.
No one listened.
Except one person.
The future Paladin Leader.
And even he wasn't sure what to believe.
The Signal

Deep-space observatories begin detecting impossible transmissions from dead galaxies.
The signals are ancient.
Massive.
Alive.
Machines begin malfunctioning across Echelon whenever the signals appear.
Entire AI systems shut down in fear.
For the first time in history…
The mysterious Paladin becomes afraid.
Not for himself.
For everyone.
Late one night he enters restricted archives beneath the city.
There he discovers hidden ancient records older than Echelon itself.
Records describing:
An ancient name
"The Devourers"
An ancient cosmic force responsible for wiping out civilizations before they become too advanced.
Not evil.
Not emotional.
A correction mechanism.
And according to the records…
Echelon has already been noticed.
The Divide

The mysterious Paladin demands the council prepare for war.
Build defenses.
Train armies.
Expand beyond peace.
But Echelon refuses.
The civilization believes violence itself creates destruction.
The council accuses him of spreading fear.
Some begin calling him dangerous.
Paranoid.
Obsessed.
But the future Paladin Leader still believes in him.
At least partly.
Until one question changes everything.
The mysterious Paladin cannot answer immediately.
And that silence changes everything between them.
The Outcast

The council officially removes the mysterious Paladin from power.
His projects are shut down.
His portal research sealed away.
His defense systems dismantled.
He is banished from the upper city.
But before leaving…
He says something that haunts the council forever.
He disappears beneath Echelon into forgotten underground systems.
Most believe they will never see him again.
But secretly…
He continues building.
Watching.
Preparing.
The Hidden World

Far beneath Echelon, the Outcast discovers ancient dormant worlds connected through abandoned portals.
Dead civilizations.
Ruined cities.
Forgotten technologies.
And hidden among them—
Earth.
Primitive.
Chaotic.
Violent.
But unique.
Because humanity adapts faster than any species he has ever studied.
They evolve through struggle.
Not comfort.
And for the first time in centuries…
The Outcast becomes hopeful.
The Human

Decades later.
Earth begins collapsing beneath technological corruption and greed.
The Outcast secretly watches humanity through hidden systems.
Then he discovers someone extraordinary.
A brilliant engineer attempting forbidden cybernetic fusion technology to save civilization.
A man willing to sacrifice himself to protect others.
A man whose mind contains both compassion…
And fury.
The perfect balance.
The Outcast realizes something terrifying:
Hondro may become exactly what the universe needs to survive what's coming.
Not perfect.
Not peaceful.
Balanced.
The Split

The Outcast secretly guides events from the shadows.
He manipulates portal systems.
Ancient artifacts.
Energy signatures.
All leading Hondro toward Echelon.
Because he believes Hondro could unite:
Human Resilience
Alien Wisdom
Machine Evolution
But the fusion process changes Hondro forever.
His consciousness fractures under the strain.
Not broken.
Divided.
Light
and Mercy
Fire
and Survival
The Outcast witnesses this transformation in horror.
And realizes:
One day…
Both halves may need to exist separately.
The Sacrifice

The Outcast watches silently as Hondro becomes the protector of Echelon.
Then comes the comet.
The sacrifice.
The death.
The mourning.
Everything unfolds exactly as history remembers.
Except now…
The audience finally understands why the hooded figure took the eye.
Not
Stealing Power
He was
Saving Balance
Because without the "Fire" half of Hondro…
The future would die.
Selo

The hooded figure returns to the underground portal chamber, carrying Hondro's glowing eye.
The same moment from the original story. But now…
Everything feels different. Sadder.
He looks toward Echelon one final time.
Toward the people who exiled him.
Toward the brother who lost faith in him.
Toward the civilization he still loves despite everything.
Then quietly… he lowers his hood. For the first time.
He looks down at the glowing eye.
The portal ignites. Blue light floods the chamber.
And before stepping through — the final reveal.
Is
Selo
He disappears into the portal. Beginning the creation of:
Hondro The Red.
“Some names are not given — they are forged in exile, earned through sacrifice, and revealed only when the world needs them most.”
